Do you take pride in your craftsmanship and enjoy working with quality timber? We’re expanding our workshop team and looking for an Experienced Wood Machinist to join our family-run timber business in East Hanningfield, Chelmsford.

This is a hands-on, full-time role in a busy workshop where your skills will directly contribute to producing both stocked and bespoke timber products.

The Role

• Operate and set up fixed woodworking machinery (e.g. Weinig Planer Cube).

• Work from technical drawings and cutting lists with accuracy.

• Produce both standard and bespoke timber products to a high standard.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workspace.

• Carry out quality control checks and complete required paperwork.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in timber machining and workshop environments.

• Confident operating woodworking machinery and tools.

• Ability to follow drawings and cutting lists with precision.

• Strong eye for detail and pride in quality craftsmanship.

• A team player with a proactive approach and commitment to health & safety.

• Own transport essential due to rural location.

• Pay: £17.00 – £18.50 per hour (depending on experience) + Attendance Bonus.

We’re Hiring: Precast Concrete Labourer 

Are you reliable, hardworking, and looking for a long-term opportunity with a growing company? We’re expanding and currently looking for a Precast Concrete Labourer to join our friendly team in East Hanningfield, Chelmsford.

This is a fantastic chance to be part of a busy manufacturing environment where you’ll play an important role in producing high-quality precast concrete products.

 The Role

• Working with concrete beds to produce precast products to a high standard.

• Ensuring accuracy and quality in all tasks.

• Cleaning and maintaining work areas.

• Operating machinery and tools safely (full training provided).

• Following all health & safety procedures.

 What We’re Looking For

• No previous experience required – full training will be given.

• Forklift licence desirable (but not essential).

• Good physical fitness (heavy lifting is part of the role).

• Reliable, hardworking, and a good team player.

• Own transport is essential due to location.

 What We Offer

• Competitive pay starting from £12.85 per hour (depending on experience).

• Full-time hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 5:00pm.
